Christmas Eve Day....

Are you done yet? I am never done this early with Christmas shopping and wrapping and baking, but this year I am! It seems a little weird actually. At the minimum, I always have wrapping to do and it always gets done late at night. Yes, on Christmas Eve.

Saturday, I told my husband that I did not want to spend the evening wrapping presents. I wanted to spend quality time with the family, just taking it easy. After the kids went to bed, I just wanted to hang out with him and listen to the quiet and contemplate the season. Is that to much to ask?

So Saturday morning, we pulled out the presents, the wrapping paper, and all the other accoutrement's that go with gift wrapping and headed to our room. I put the movie Grease on, and we spent an enjoyable morning wrapping. It's all done!!! Yea!!!

Do you remember the movie Grease? I love that movie. It's been a favorite for years. I had a friend, Kathy who years and years ago, we used to get together and watch Grease over and over. Unfortunately, my friend died of Ovarian Cancer several years ago, but those times spent together are some of my best memories of us.

If you haven't finished, it's almost too late. But as my husband says, "It ain't Christmas unless I do shopping on Christmas Eve"!

Leave it to a guy to wait til the last moment.....
