Tackle It Tuesday - My Closet

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

This week I decided to tackle my bedroom closet. What a mess! I've just been using it as a dumping ground and even Tim was starting to complain. It was buggin' me too, so as soon as I had a chance I tackled it. Here are some pictures of the mess:

I had dumped clothes that I was giving away on the floor, I had dumped all my summer shoes next to the closet, I had scrapbooking material everywhere including memorabilia just laying around. I had various children's books and puzzles that I was saving for my classroom too. Even though I forgot to take a picture of it, I had a pile of bed covers and sheets on the floor in the bedroom waiting to be put away. Yuck! It was truly a huge mess. I can't believe I let it go so long.

Here is what it looks like now:

I put all the clothes I was giving away in a bag and placed it next to the door. I threw away old summer flipflops that were worn out and put the rest of the shoes in the shoe drawer. I organized all my scrapbooking supplies and memorabilia and put it in an easily accessible area. I organized the books and toys for my classroom and put away all the sheets and bed covers. Now, nothing is on the floor and it looks great. We can walk in there without tripping over anything and can readily grab what we need. A plus for those hectic mornings!
