Well, almost anyways. Our freezer is not freezing any more and all our food has defrosted. We were finally able to get a repair man out yesterday. The compressor is not working and there is only a small portion of gas remaining. It is very expensive to fix a compressor so we need to buy a new refrigerator, not that they are inexpensive either. His CK levels are still a little high, but nothing to worry about according to the doctor. They had tested him for Fragile X and a Coenzyme Q10 and both were negative. His Carnitine levels were also normal. We are heading to Montana next week and I just talked to a historian in Anaconda who remembered my ancestors. My great, great grandfather was one of the founders of Anaconda. There are 29 genetic conditions that newborns can be tested for and 88 percent were tested last year.  This is up from 38 percent two years ago. The researches had been able to reverse autisim symptoms in laboratory mice.  This is truly good news! It was a beautiful day! We couldn't have asked for a better day, the temperature was warm, but not too hot and there was a cool breeze. The kids did great and there was only minimal arguing between the two. All four of us had entered something into the fair and that was fun to see. His scrotum is very swollen.  He's been acting lethargic and won't come to me when I call him.  Usually Mocha and his brother Max follow me every where and they will come right up to me when I click my tongue.  Kristin and I took him to the vet today and we were told that his liver is swollen and it feels like there is some kind of mass in there. At Safari West you get on a safari vehicle and they drive you around a large preserve with free ranging African animals.  It was amazing to be that close to the animals. In our area it comes on every Sunday evening at 8 am.  My daughter and I try to watch it every week, even though we end up crying. She's not often sick.  She's had this rash on her face and it keeps spreading.  At first we thought she was getting pimples, but each day more and more kept showing up.  Then today she had another "flat" rash on her other cheek.  She also doesn't feel well.  So we decided to keep her home and take her to the doctor. A phone call woke me up.  It was my sister in Atlanta, GA.  She said "Turn on your TV!  Turn on your TV!"The panic in her voice had me leaping out of my bed, not even pausing to get my glasses so I could even see the TV.
